Recommended Action
Approve the 2022 Regular Arts Commission Meeting Calendar.
Executive Summary
The Arts Commission establishes its regular meeting schedule annually by vote. Adopting the calendar by
vote meets Brown Act requirements (California Government Code Section 54954) and provides the Arts Commission the opportunity to increase notification to the public of its scheduled regular meetings. Special
meetings can still be called as needed by providing 24-hour notice before the time of the special meeting.
All virtual meetings will be scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. until the City Council directs staff to resume in-
person public meetings in accordance with Assembly Bill 361 - Open meetings: state and local agencies:
teleconferences, at which time all regular meetings will be scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. at the Council
Chamber at City Hall at 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive.
Fiscal Analysis
No additional city funding is being requested at this time.
Next Steps
Staff will distribute the approved calendar to the Arts Commission and other city staff. In addition, the
calendar will be posted on the City’s website.
Public Notification
This document was noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act (California Government Code Section
54950 et. Seq.), published and distributed at least 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.
