CITY APPROVAL OF PLANS DOES NOT RELIEVE THE DEVELOPER OR ENGINEER-OF-WORK FROM RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CORRECTION OF ERRORS AND OMISSIONS DISCOVERED DURING CONSTRUCTION. NO WORK SHALL BE COMMENCED UNTIL ALL PERMITS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED FROM THE CITY AND OTHER APPROPRIATE AGENCIES. 6. REVISION OF THESE PLANS MAY BE REQUIRED IF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS ARE NOT CONSTRUCTED PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE DA TE OF THE IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT. 7. ACCESS FOR FIRE AND OTHER EMERGENCY VEHICLES SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO THE PROJECT SITE AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION. 11. WHERE TRENCHES ARE WITHIN CITY EASEMENTS, A SOILS REPORT COMPRISED OF: (A) SUMMARY SHEET, (B) LABORATORY WORK SHEETS AND (C) COMPACTION CURVES, SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER OF THE STA TE OF CALIFORNIA, PR/NC/PALLY DOING BUSINESS IN THE FIELD OF APPLIED SOILS MECHANICS. THE SOILS REPORT WlLL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY ENGINEERING INSPECTOR WlTHIN TWO WORKING DAYS OF COMPLETION OF FIELD TESTS. THE WRITTEN FIELD COMPACTION REPORT(S) SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY SUBMITTED TO THE CITY ENGINEERING INSPECTOR UPON COMPLETION OF THE FIELD TESTS. 12. A PRECONSTRUCT/ON MEETING SHALL BE HELD AT THE SITE PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF WORK AND SHALL BE ATTENDED BY ALL REPRESENTATIVES RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSTRUCTION, INSPECTION, SUPERVISION, TESTING AND ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF THE WORK. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE THE MEETING BY CALLING THE INSPECTION LINE AT (760) 438-3891 AT LEAST FIVE (5) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION. APPROVED ORA WINGS MUST BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO SCHEDULING. 13. ALL INSPECTION REQUESTS OTHER THAN FOR PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING WILL BE MADE BY CALLING THE ENGINEER/NG 24-HOUR INSPECTION REQUEST LINE AT (760) 438-3891. INSPECTION REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO 2: 00 P.M. ON THE DAY BEFORE THE IN5PECTION IS NEEDED INSPECTIONS WlLL BE MADE THE NEXT WORK DAY UNLESS YOU REQUEST OTHERWISE. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL ALL LEAKS ARE REPAIRED, C. USER HOOK-UP AND SERVICE CHANGE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL: 1. COORDINATE WORK SUCH THAT USER SERVICE DOWNTIME IS MINIMIZED. ANY SINGLE SERVICE DOWNTIME SHALL NOT EXCEED THIRTY MINUTES, 2. NOTIFY THE USER AS 5.PECIFIED PRIOR TO CONNECTION OF THE USER TO THE HIGHLINE SYSTEM. 3. DISINFECT HOSES, FlmNGS, AND OTHER HIGHLINE USER CONNECTIONS ACCORDING TO A WWA C651 PRIOR TO CONNECTION TO USER METERS 4. FLUSH THE HIGHLINE CONNECTION, INCLUDING THE METER ADAPTOR ON THE HOSE, WITH POTABLE WATER UNTIL THE EITTUENT IS CLEAR AND FREE OF DEBRIS, 5. SHUT OFF AND DISCONNECT THE USER WATER METER FROM THE EXISTING WATER MAIN SERVICE LINE. ENSURE THAT NO DIRT OR DEBRIS ENTERS TO METER OR METER CONNECTION. REMOVE ANY DIRT OR DEBRIS WHICH MAY ENTER AND PLUG THE METER. 6. MOVE OR BEND ASIDE THE EXISTING WATER MAIN SERVICE LINE TO PROVIDE ROOM FOR THE HIGHLINE SERVICE LINE. ENSURE THAT THE WATER MAIN SERVICE LINE IS NOT DAMAGED. SOME SOIL MAY NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE METER BOX TO ALLOW BENDING OF THE LINE. 7. CONNECT THE USER WATER METER TO THE HIGHLINE WATER SERVICE LINE. USE APPROVED ADAPTORS AS REQUIRED TO MAKE THE CONNECTION. OPEN THE SHUTOFF VAL VE TO ACT/VA TE THE CONNECTION. 8. FLUSH EACH USER SYSTEM FROM THE HOSE BIBB CLOSEST DOWNSTREAM TO THE WATER METER UNTIL THE EFFLUENT IS CLEAR AND FREE OF DEBRIS. 9. VERIFY PROPER FLOW AND OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM. CLEAN PLUGGED METERS OR REGULA TORS AS REQUIRED. RESET REGULA TORS AS REQUIRED AFTER DISTURBANCE OF THE SYSTEM TO ACHIEVE PROPER SERVICE PRESSURES. 8. SHUTDOWN OF WATER MAIN. 1.
