A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE PARKS & RECREATION
COMMISSION
Exhibit 1
WHEREAS, Commissioner Matt Simons was appointed to the Parks & Recreation Commission in
February 2011 to fill the expired term of Commissioner Comstock for a term ending in August 2013;
and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Simons was reappointed in August 2013 and August 2017; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Simons is not eligible for reappointment; and
WHEREAS, a scheduled vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Commission exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as:
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The following Carlsbad resident is appointed to serve on the Parks & Recreation
Commission, for a term. ending in December 2022 to coincide with the term of the
Mayor.

Carlsbad on the 25th day of January 2022, by the following vote, to wit:
