RESOLUTION NO. 2022-067
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING ONE MEMBER EACH FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO SERVE ON THE DESIGN
REVIEW COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on Oct. 19, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-241 establishing the
Design Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the composition of the Design Review Committee shall
be comprised of two Village residents, two Barrio residents, two professionals with expertise designing
and/or developing multifamily housing/mixed-use development in the City of Carlsbad, preferably in the
Village and Barrio Master Plan area, and one Village or Barrio business owner representative; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined the composition of the committee shall also be comprised
of one representative each from the Historic Preservation Commission and the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission nominated Raul Diaz and the Planning Commission
nominated Alicia Lafferty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That the Historic Preservation Commission Member Raul Diaz and Planning Commission
member Alicia Lafferty are confirmed and appointed to serve on the Design Review
Committee for a term ending in March 2023 or upon the completion of the committee's
work.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
on the 8th day of March 2022, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Blackburn, Bhat-Patel, Acosta, Norby
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Hall
