RESOLUTION NO. 2022-075
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE (DISTRICT 1
APPOINTMENT)
WHEREAS, on Oct. 19, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-241 establishing the
Design Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the composition of the Design Review Committee shall
be comprised of two Village residents, two Barrio residents, two professionals with expertise designing
and/or developing multifamily housing/mixed-use development in the City of Carlsbad, preferably in the
Village and Barrio Master Plan area, and one Village or Barrio business owner representative; and
WHEREAS, on March 8, 2022, the City Council initially appointed Todd Harris to serve as the Village
or Barrio business owner on the Design Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, on March 9, the City Clerk received notification that Mr. Harris no longer wished to serve
on the committee; and
WHEREAS, an open appointment to fill the Village or Barrio business owner position exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2_ The following Carlsbad resident is appointed to serve on the Design Review Committee for a
term ending in March 2023 or upon the completion of the committee's work:
Ginger Rabe (Village or Barrio business owner)
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
on the 15th day of March, 2022, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Blackburn, Bhat-Patel, Acosta, Norby.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Hall.
