The City of Carlsbod ~ Planning signature on these plans does not constitute approval of any of these notes and the city Will not be responsible far their enforcement. l. The Contractor shall verify With. the Owner's representative that plans are current and approved. 2. Work shall be ln accordance with the requirements of The City of Carlsbad, 3. These plans are based on architecture plans by Smith Consulting Architects. 4. The engineering soils report is a part of these construction documents. 5. The Contractor shall comply with the report's recommendations as they relate to his work. 6. The Contractor shall obtain all necessary and required permits and pay all related fees and/or taxes required to install the Work on these plans. 7. The Contractor sholl be approprlately licensed as required by the state in which the work takes place, 8. The Contractor shall notify the owner's representative prior to beginning the work and shall be responsible for coordinating With the Owner, Landscape Architect, governing agencies and other trades. 9. The Contractor shall notify the Landscape Architect immediately of any errors, omissions or discrepancies in existing conditions or within the plans prior to beginning the work. 10. Unit prices for all improvements shall be established as a port of the contract With the project Owner and prior to beginning work, to accommodate additions and/or deletions of material and labor, 11. Determination of Qr;quol" substitutions shall be made only by !he Landscape Architect. 12. The Landscape Architecl shall be notified no less than 48 hours in advance of any site observations or meetings. 13, Site observotions by the Londscope Architect during any phase of this project does not relieve the Contractor of his primary responsibility to perform all work in accordance with the plana, specifications and governing codes. 14, Site observation meetings shall include: a. Pre-construction meeting b. Selection of plant materials c. Irrigation d. Planting e. Approval to begin establishment period f, Acceptance of establishment period Note: "Landscape0 shall refer to all improvements Within this aet of documents that hove been designed by this, office. 16. Contractor ahall be bockclharged for Landscape Architect's time when observations ore called for and it's found that the Work is not .significantly ready upon observation or the appoinltment ls not kept. Time will be charged on an hourly basis, plus transportation, food and lodging costs, at the current hourly rate for the pen~onnel providing the observations1. 17. This firm does not practice! or consult in the field of safety engineering. This firm does not direct the Contractor's operations and is not responsible for the safety of personnel other than our own on site. The safety of others is the responsiblllty of the Contractor. The Contractor should notify the Owner if he or she considers any of'the recommended actions presented herein to be unsafe. 18. All landscaped area will be privately maintained. 19. Reference Documents: Unless otherwise noted or specified, the work shall be done in accordance with the following reference documents Which are on file in the office of the City Clerk or office of the state Architect: a.
