CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Stripe called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Chairperson Stripe, Vice-chair Gray, Board Members Zupanski, Becerra, Rauch, Canepa,
(Board member Chapin-absent)
CONSENT CALENDAR:
(Cl Ill. APPROVE MINUTES OF October 13, 2021
Board member Gray motioned to approve minutes; second by board member Rauch; passed 4-0 (Becerra, Zupanski
abstained)
REPORTS AND DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. Staff Report/ Financial Update month ending Feb. 2022 -Cheryl Gerhardt
(no public comments)
2. CTBID Grant Proposal from Carlsbad 5000
Board member Rauch motioned to adopt resolution approving grant proposal as recommended by Visit
Carlsbad Board and appropriating funds; seconded by board member Zupanski; passed 6-0.
3. Appointment to the Visit Carlsbad Board
Board member Canepa motioned to approve appointment to the Visit Carlsbad Board; seconded by board
member Rauch; passed 5-0-1. (Chairperson Stripe abstained)
4. Group Incentive Program Options
(caucus requested by General Counsel to review resolution)
Board member Rauch motioned to approve the amount of 5% with a cap of $20K ,incentives approved by Visit
Carlsbad, expense qualifications subject to audit, and General Counsel is authorized to make amendments to
Addendum A as to the guidelines of Visit Carlsbad Group Incentive Program; seconded by board member Gray;
passed 6-0.
