ALL CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM AROUND THE BUILDINGS, THE DRIVEWAYS, SIDEWALKS AND LANDSCAPING AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY. THE DRIVEWAYS AND SIDEWALKS SHALL BE SWEPT CLEAN. 21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LIMIT THE SITE STORAGE OF MATERIAL, SUPPLIES OR TEMPORARY STRUCTURES TO THOSE AREAS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS OR AS APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. 22. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR OR REPLACE ANY ITEMS DAMAGED DURING DEMOLITION OR CONSTRUCTION INDICATED TO BE REUSED OR TO REMAIN, AT NO COST TO THE OWNERS. 23. ALL NEW GLAZING TO BE INSTALLED WITH CERTIFYING LABEL ATTACHED SHOWING THE "U" VALUE AND SHGC. 24. ALL WEATHER-EXPOSED SURFACES SHALL HAVE A WEATHER RESISTANT BARRIER TO PROTECT THE INTERIOR WALL COVERING AND EXTERIOR OPENINGS SHALL BE FLASHED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO MAKE THEM WEATHER PROOF 25. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A SEPARATION OR BARRIER BETWEEN ALL DISSIMILAR METALS. 26. ALL INTERIOR FINISHES SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CHAPTER 8 CBC. 27. HOSE BIBBS AND SPRINKLER SYSTEMS SHALL HAVE APPROVED PERMANENT BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES. 28. PLUMBING SUBCONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE PLUMBING AND GAS LINE SCHEMATICS, SIZING AND CALCS TO THE BUILDING DEPT. FOR APPROVAL AS REQUIRED. 29 ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL LOAD CALCS TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT FOR APPROVAL AS REQUIRED. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IDENTIFYING ALL AREAS ON THE PROJECT WHICH REQUIRE TOLERANCES BETWEEN ROUGH OPENINGS AND/OR FINISH MATERIALS AND PROVIDE FOR THE PROPER TOLERANCES TO COMPLETE THE CONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. 31. THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS INDICATE THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE PROJECT IN TERMS OF THE DESIGN CONCEPT, DIMENSIONAL PROFILES, MAJOR ELEMENTS, AND MATERIALS. THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS DO NOT NECESSARILY INDICATE OR DESCRIBE ALL OF THE CONSTRUCTION REQUIRED FOR THE FULL COMPLETION OF THE WORK. GREEN BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS: 1. PROJECTS WHICH DISTURB LESS THAN ONE ACRE OF SOIL SHALL MANAGE STORM WATER DRAINAGE DURING CONSTRUCTION BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWiMG: A RETENTION BASINS. B. WHERE STORM WATER IS CONVEYED TO A PUBLIC DRAINAGE SYSTEM, WATER SHALL BE FILTERED BY USE OF A BARRIER SYSTEM, WATTLE OR OTHER APPROVED METHOD. 2. SITE GRADING OR DRAINAGE SYSTEM WILL MANAGE ALL SURFACE WATER FLOWS TO KEEP WATER FROM ENTERING BUILDINGS (SWALES, WATER COLLECTION, FRENCH DRAINS, ETC.) 3. FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION WHERE LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION WATER IS PLANNED. A WATER BUDGET SHALL BE DEVELOPED THAT CONFORMS TO THE LOCAL LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE OR THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES MODEL WATER EFFICIENT LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE (MWELO), WHICHEVER IS MORE STRINGENT. AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION SYSTEM CONTROLLERS SHALL COMPLY WITH CGC SECTION 4.304.2 AS FOLLOWS A CONTROLLERS SHALL BE WEATHER OR SOIL MO!STURE BASED THAT AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST IRRIGATION IN RESPONSE TO CHANGES IN NEEDS AS WEATHER CONDITIONS CHANGE. B. WEATHER BASED CONTROLLERS SHALL HAVE SEPARATE WIRED OR WIRELESS RAIN SENSOR WHICH CONNECTS OR COMMUNICATES WITH THE CONTROLLER(S). SOIL MOISTURE BASED CONTROLLERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE RAIN SENSORS 5. MINIMUM OF 50% OF CONSTRUCTION WASTE IS TO BE RECYCLED. 6. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A CONSTRUCTION WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN TO THE JURISDICTION AGENCY THAT REGULATES WASTE MANAGEMENT PER CGC 4.408.2. 7. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE AN OPERATION MANUAL FOR MAINTAINING ALL APPLIANCES TO OWNER AT THE TIME OF FINAL INSPECTION. 8. GAS FIREPLACE(S) SHALL BE A DIRECT-VENT SEALED-COMBUSTION TYPE. ANY WOODSTOVE OR PELLET STOVE MUST BE US EPA PHASE II RATED APPLIANCES. 9. DURING CONSTRUCTION, ENDS OF DUCT OPENINGS ARE TO BE SEALED AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT IS TO BE COVERED. 10. ALL ADHESIVES, PAINTS AND COATINGS, CARPET, AND COMPOSITION WOOD PRODUCT voes SHALL COMPLY WITH LIMITATIONS LISTED IN SECTION 4.504.3 AND TABLES 4.504.1, 4.504.2, 4.504.3 AND4.504.5 11. ALL NEW CONCRETE SLABS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A CAPILLARY BREAK. 12. MOISTURE CONTENT OF WOOD SHALL NOT EXCEED 19% BEFORE IT IS ENCLOSED IN CONSTRUCTION. THE MOISTURE CONTENT SHALL BE CERTIFIED BY ONE OF 3 METHODS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 4.505.3. BUILDING MATERIALS WITH VISIBLE SIGNS OF WATER DAMAGE SHALL NOT BE USED IN CONSTRUCTION. THE MOISTURE CONTENT SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CONTRACTOR BY ONE OF THE METHODS LISTED IN CGC 4.505.3. 13. ALL BATHROOM FANS SHALL BE ENERGY STAR RATED, VENTED DIRECTLY TO OUTSIDE OF BUILDING, AND CONTROLLED BY A HUMIDISTAT. 14. PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION, CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TO BUILDING DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL WRITTEN VERIFICATION THAT ALL APPLICABLE PROVISIONS FROM THE GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED AS PART OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
