1. We understand the proposed project will require one of the nine units to be affordable based on
Carlsbad's inclusionary housing policy. We will be talking to the Housing Policy Team about
alternative methods {i.e. purchasing a Housing Credit} to satisfy this requirement. However, if the
Housing Policy Team does not support an alternative method, we would want to designate our
smaller unit {unit 5 on the site plan) as the affordable unit. We are estimating this unit to be a
1,500 sf one bedroom unit. Would staff support this unit as the designated affordable unit if an
alternative method is not available to us?
Fire:
1. Please refer to site plan sheet A 1.1. We are showing graphically how the hose pull requirement
can be met for the proposed project. Please confirm that the proposed hose pull graphic is
acceptable. The project cannot afford incorporation of a typical on site hammerhead turnaround as
it would cause the loss of two units.
