March 1 5th 2021 DATE Development Number: Revised: 05/20 March 12th 2021 To, Community Development Department 1635 Faraday Avenue Carlsbad, CA 92008 Dear Preliminary Review Checklist reviewer, We are interested in requesting a Single Disciplinary Review for our new proposed development project located at 2669 Madison St. Carlsbad, CA. In order to expedite the review process, we would like for the reviewer to focus on the fire apparatus circulation and parking requirements of the project. It is our intention to develop eight (8) affordable housing units alongside the rear yard setback of the property. Currently, the development is planned to be three (3) stories tall with a centralized stairway for access to each unit. We are confirming that the existing driveway shown on the attached plan is a minimum of20 feet. Our main concern is whether the current site plan's circulation satisfies the fire department's need to access each unit safely and effectively. Furthermore, if the current site plan does not meet the standards of the City of Carlsbad, we would like for the reviewer to provide some 'constructive feedback' and possible solutions to this particular issue.
