CALL TO ORDER: 6 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Cortes-Torres, Manzano, Cole.
Absent: Nguyen-Cleary.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on Feb. 10, 2022
Motion by Commissioner Manzano, seconded by Commissioner Cole, to approve the minutes as
presented. Motion carried 3-0, with Nguyen-Cleary absent.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS:
1. AFFORDABLE HOUSING PRESENTATION: Receive a public presentation regarding the City of
Carlsbad’s affordable housing efforts. (Staff contact: Todd Henderson, Interim Housing
Services Manager)
Consultant Deborah Fountain presented on Carlsbad’s housing needs, history, policies &
programs (on file in the office of the City Clerk).
Commissioners asked clarifying questions. Consultant Deborah Fountain or Director Mills
provided responses.
COMMISSION COMMENTS: None.
STAFF COMMENTS:
Director of Housing and Homeless Services Mandy Mills made the following announcements:
• The next meeting will be July 14th.
• The August meeting will be cancelled due to Council Chambers refurbishment.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of the Housing Commission was adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
