elevations containing the following information:
1. North arrow and scale.
2. Location of existing buildings or structures, parking areas, and vehicular access points to the
property.
3. Location of all existing and proposed signs for the property.
4. Distance to the property line(s) for all proposed freestanding sign(s).
5. Provide an elevation for all proposed sign(s) which specifies the following:
A Dimensions and area for all existing and proposed sign(s).
B. Materials the sign(s) will be constructed of.
C. Source of Illumination.
D. Proposed sign copy.

for potential sight distance and visibility issues. Additional information must supplement
this application showing how the proposed signage will not encroach into the public right-of-
way or present a traffic hazard. Page 3 of 4 illustrates an example for what would be required
for such proposed signs.

APPLICATIONS
The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, monument, and
freestanding sign permit applications. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed
for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved
over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection.

Relationship to Streets: Signs shall be designed and located so as not to interfere with the
unobstructed clear view of the public right-of-way and nearby traffic regulatory signs of any
pedestrian, bicyclist or motor vehicle driver.
Sight Distance: No sign or sign structure shall be placed or constructed so that it impairs the sight
distance requirements at any public or private street intersection or driveway.

Signage Notes
Overall
• Approval of these signage drawings by Brookfield Properties shall not relieve the tenant of his responsibili ty to construct the leased space in compliance with all governing building codes & authorities.
• Upon approval from Brookfield Properties, any changes or modifications to these sign drawings must be approved by Brookfield Properties, in writing.
• It is the responsibility of the tenant / tenant's sign contractor to apply for and secure all necessary pen11its as required prior to the installation of this signage.
• Approval of these signage drawings are subject to verification of conditions & compliance with procedures from local Brookfield Properties authority. Confirm final acceptance with Mall Operations Manager.
Checking In Prior to Installation
• Tenant's sign contractor is to check in with Mall Operations Manager prior to work start. See contact information below.
• Tenant's sign contractor is to supply insurance certificate, permits and any other documentation/paperwork as required by the Mall Operations Manager.

Quality / Craftsmanship / Repairs / Misc.
• Blade signs are required for all tenant storefronts. No exceptions!
o Refer to bade sign criteria provided by Tenant Coordinator for further requirements.
o Final location of blade sign on storefront must be approved by the on-site Mall Operations Manager prior to installation.
o In order to avoid visibility issues with other existing signage failure to obta in this approval may require the tenant / tenant's sign vendor to relocate the sign at tenant's expense.
• Tenant's sign contractor is to perfonn installation of all signage in first-class workmanship. Final acceptance of signage is c:ontingent upon the following:
o Verification of final conditions
o Compliance w ith Mall management procedures
• Signs shall not have exposed conduits, wires, raceways, transformers, etc.
• Tenant's sign contractor is to repaint and/or repair any Landlord property damaged during installation of signage.
• PK housings are required with neon.
• If sign has exposed neon, paint exposed ends of PK to match adjacent surfaces (if applicable). Provide clear standoffs.
• Exposed neon shall be on rheostat dimmer (if applicable).
• Use no double backs if possible. lfrequired, keep to a minimum quantity; paint out to match adjacent surface.
• All exposed neon shall be mid-point grounded at each transformer (if applicable).
• Provide a local disconnect at each storefront sign.
• The UL label must be placed so that is not visible from the Mall.
• Electrical services to all signs are to be a on a 7-day, 24-hour time clock, on a separate service, and wired to Tenant's meter.
• Registered trademark ®, sign manufacturer's name, stamps, decals, etc. on signs are strictly prohibited.
• Tenant's website address may not be displayed anywhere on storefront (including window graphics). No exceptions.
• All light leaks are to be sealed 100%.
• All sheet metal screw heads are to be painted to match.
• Overa ll dimension of sign may not exceed dimensions noted on following pages.
