City Attorney Celia Brewer read the City Council into Closed Session.
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 2:30 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF A CITY ATTORNEY: That the City
Council, by motion, authorize a closed session regarding personnel matters as follows:
To discuss and consider appointment of a new City Attorney pursuant to Government Code
Section 54947.
Council Action: No reportable action.
2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING EXISTING LITIGATION : That the City Council, by
motion, authorize a closed session regarding existing litigation in the matter of:
North County Advocates v. City of Carlsbad. Case No. 37-2019-00042954-CU-MC-NC, pursuant
to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(l).
Council Action: No reportable action.
