Summary
This report presents a preliminary drainage analysis for the development of a 2 lot parcel
map in the city of Carlsbad. The site is located at the Northwest intersection of Las
Flores Drive and Highland Drive. The purpose of this report is to analyze onsite drainage
associated with this project.
Existing and Developed Conditions
The site is approximately 0.5 acres in size and currently is occupied by one house which
will remain. The site is surrounded by lots varying in size which are developed. The
adjacent lot grading and public streets exclude offsite drainage from streets reaching the
site.
This project currently drains into the Buena Vista Creek. This creek serves a large
drainage area beginning in the unincorporated portion of the County of San Diego, East
of the City of Vista, extending West and merging with the Buena Vista Lagoon.
The drainage onsite will flow through a grass swale along the West property line and
discharge into Las Flores Drive with a D-25 curb inlet.
