CALL TO ORDER: 6:04 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Cole, Manzano, Nguyen-Cleary. Absent: Cortes-Torres.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on June 9, 2022.

Motion by Commissioner Manzano, seconded by Commissioner Cole, to approve the minutes as
corrected. Motion carried 2-0, with Nguyen-Cleary abstaining and Cortes-Torres absent.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS:
1.LEGISLATIVE UPDATE PRESENTATION: Received a public presentation regarding the City of
Carlsbad's legislative efforts. (Staff contact: Todd Henderson, Interim Housing Services
Manager)
Intergovernmental Affairs Director Jason Haber presented on Carlsbad's legislative stance on
various housing policies.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions. Director Habor and Director of Housing and
Homeless Services Mandy Mills provided responses.
COMMISSION COMMENTS: None.
STAFF COMMENTS:
Director Mills made the following announcements:
•New commissioner appointment, Michael Ydigoras, to be sworn in by next meeting.
•The August meeting will be canceled due to Council Chambers refurbishment.
•Action items will be in slated for September and October meetings.
•State of the City address to be held Aug. 15 at the Dove auditorium.
•Windsor Point grand opening date still to be determined.
•Citizen's Academy applications available online for Fall session.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of the Housing Commission was adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
