The anchor is manufactured from carbon steel and is heat treated. It has a minimum 0.0003 inch (8 pm) zinc coating in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4042. The internally threaded head is larger than the diameter of the anchor and is formed with serrations on the underside. The anchor body is formed with threads running most of the length of the anchor body. The anchor is installed in a predrilled hole with a powered impact wrench or torque wrench. The anchor threads cut into the concrete on the sides of the hole and interlock with the base material during installation. Applicable base materials include normal-weight concrete, structural lightweight concrete and lightweight concrete over metal deck. Guide specifications Screw anchors shall be KWIK HUS-EZ I as supplied by Hilti, Inc. Anchors shall be manufactured from heat treated carbon steel material, zinc plated to a minimum thickness of 8 pm. Anchors shall be installed using a drill bit of same nominal diameter as anchor. Product features Suitable for cracked and uncracked normal-weight and lightweight concrete, and lightweight concrete over metal deck. Suitable for seismic and nonseismic loads. Quick and easy to install. Thread design enables quality setting and exceptional load values in wide variety of base material strengths. Anchor is fully removable Anchor size is same as drill bit size. Suitable for reduced edge distances and spacing. 3.3.7.2 Material specifications KWIK HUS-EZ I anchors are manufactured from carbon steel. The anchors are bright zinc plated to a minimum thickness of 8 pm. 3.3.7.3 Technical data 3.3.7.3.1 ACl 318-14 Chapter 17 design The technical data contained in this section are Hilti Simplified Design Tables. To optimize the design, use Hilti PROFIS Anchor Design software or perform anchor calculation using design equations from ACI 318-14 Chapter 17. 3 Spacing factor reduction in shear, fA, assumes an influence of a nearby edge. If no edge exists, then fAV = IAN 4 Concrete thickness reduction factor in shear, fKv assumes an influence of a nearby edge. If no edge exists, then f HV = 1.0. If a reduction factor value is in a shaded cell, this indicates that this specific edge distance may not be permitted with a certain spacing (or vice versa). Check with table 5 and figure 2 of section 3.3.6 to calculate permissable edge distance, spacing and concrete thickness combinations. 3.3.7 Huh, Inc. This section contains the Limit State Design tables with unfactored characteristic loads that are based on the published loads in [CC Evaluation Services ESR-3027. These tables are followed by factored resistance tables. The factored resitance tables have characteristic design loads that are prefactored by the applicable reduction factors for a single anchor with no anchor-to-anchor spacing or edge distance adjustments for the convenience of the user of this document. All the figures in the previous ACI 318-14 Chapter 17 design section are applicable to Limit State Design and the tables will reference these figures. For a detailed explanation of the tables developed in accordance with CSA A23.3-14 Annex D, refer to Section 3.1.8. See figure 1 of this section. The KWIK HUS-EZ I is considered a brittle steel element as defined by CSA A23.3-14 Annex D section D.2. For all design cases, tp = 1.0. The appropriate coefficient for breakout resistance for cracked concrete (k) or uncracked concrete must be used. For use with the load combinations of CSA A23.3-14 chapter 8. Condition B applies where supplementary reinforcement in conformance with CSA A23.3-14 section D.5.3 is not provided, or where pullout or pryout strength governs. For cases where the presence of supplementary reinforcement can be verified, the resistance modification factors associated with Condition A may be used. For all design cases, 40F' = 1.0. NA (not applicable) denotes that this value does not control for design. See section 4.1.4 of ESR-3027 for additional information. 324 Hilti, Inc. COOR B-Line 11 x m 0wPji=peiMiang:es Fig. 200H - Heavy Duty Band Hanger (For Trapeze) Size Range: 2" (50mm) thru 4" (1 00mm) trapeze pipe size. Material: Steel - Pre-Galvanized to G40 Spec Function: Designed primarily to support substantially heavier loads than is normally intended for the nominal hanger size. Used extensively to support trapeze installations and the increased loads from both above and below the trapeze assembly. Features: Furnished with /8'-16 or 1/2'..13 adjusting threaded ring nut. Approvals: Underwriters Laboratories listed in the USA (UL) and Canada** (cUL). Conforms to Federal Specification WW-H-171E & A-A-1l 92A, Type 10 and Manufacturers Standardization Society ANSI/MSS SP-69 & SP-58, Type 10. Maximum Temperature: 650°F (343°C) Finish: Pre-Galvanized Order By: Figure number, pipe size and rod size. Important Design Note. Because of the increased loads applied to the trapeze assembly, both the upper trapeze supports as well as the lower hanging unit must be able to hold the maximum loads intended. MADE IN U.S.A. PP eFiThread9eaIing Paste Nw " I $ I 8I Description PipefitO Thread Sealing Paste with PTFE is a premium non-hardening PTFE filled pipe thread sealing paste designed specifically for the fire sprinkler industry. Pipefit is suitable for use on all threadable materials commonly used in fire sprinkler systems, including CPVC. Pipefit's unique blend of materials provides superior thread sealing qualities over other similarly priced sealants. The particulate FIFE also helps prevent leaks by accumulating in the voids of damaged or defective threads of the pipe or fittings. Additionally, the lubricating qualities of the FIFE and other materials in the sealing paste improve thread seating during pipe and fitting assembly. Pipefit® also adheres well to hot oily pipe present in "high speed' fabrication operations. Design Criteria/Data Recommended Use Water Air Refrigerants Natural Gas Mild caustics Steam Kerosene LP Gases Acids Gasoline Diesel Fuel Ammonia Use for threaded connections on steel, aluminum, brass, PVC, CPVC and ABS. Operating temperature ranges -50 f to 500 f. p3cvl. Apply Pipefit® liberally to the male pipe threads. Make sure that the thread sealant is brushed into the "root" of the threads. Do not wipe off excess material until fitting has been "made on" to the pipe thread. The threading action of the fitting to the pipe will allow the proper amount of sealant to remain in the connection. Wipe off excess sealant. Pipefit® will not dry out under normal conditions. Never use dope and tape together. Keep covered when not in use to avoid contamination. Some settling of the product may occur. Occasional stirring may be necessary. Two year shelf life.
