DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS
Iire department inlet connections are used to supple-
ment the fire protection water supply of a structure's
5Tndpipe and /or tire sprinkler system. Each inlet
u'td capacity for 250 GPM (4 (/min.) flow. The
exposed design of this series of connections simpli-
is installation, and makes them equally suItable for
new construction or retrofit.
1 hese connections are constructed of heavy Cast
orass. Nos. 48111 and 48112 are rated 300 PSI
20,67 bar), all other unite are rated 175 PSI (1206
bar). Each connection has two or three female swivel
niets, and self closing clappers to prevent water from
flowing back out of any unconnected inlets. Each
connection is branded with lettering that identifies its

WAFER CHECK VALVES
UL LISTED FM APPROVED
Wafer Check Valves are designed to be compact, easy to handle and take minimum
space in your installation between two standard flanges. An 0" Ring Seal provides
leak free seal between two flanges as well as insuring a resilient seat surface seal
which is enhanced by a stainless steel torsion spring. They are FM Approved as anti-
water hammer Check Valves for fire pump service only.
Commonly used in fire service applications, these valves can also be used any place
a positive closure check valve is needed. They are designed for low friction loss.
Sizes:'4", 6" and 8"
UL Listed/FM Approved "The 4" size is provided 250 lbs. WOG (Specify Service If other with 1/2" pipe plug in then cold water) drain port as standard 100% Hydrostatic Tested configuration. Ductile Iron Body
