The 3G4010CF connects the alarm control panel to the Cellular network and reports alarm signals directly to a monitoring station receiver (Sur-Gard System I-IP/11/I11/IV/5). The 3G401 0CF uses the Cellular network to ensure low-cost, high-speed and reliable alarm communications and is compatible with control panels that communicate using the Contact ID or SIA (300 baud) format. The 3G401 0CF is compliant with the latest requirements for Communications Methods as per UL864 and NFPA72 2010 and 2013 Editions. It can be used in Fire Monitoring applications as a single communications technology, in which case any failure of the communications path shall be annunciated at the supervising station within 5 minutes (NFPA72 2010) or 1 hour (NFPA72 2013) of the failure, or it can be used as part of a multiple communications technologies (for example in conjunction with a DAC1). When used as a back-up provision shall be made to monitor the integrity of each communication path and failure of any communications path shall be annunciated at the supervising station and at the protected premises within not more than 24 hours of the failure. How it Works The 3G401 0CF can be used as either a Sole Communicator or as a Backup Communicator. When being used as a Sole Communicator the 3G401 0CF will replace the phone line connection on the panel and as soon as it detects that an alarm needs to be transmitted it will send the alarm across the Cellular network immediately. When being used as a backup the communicator assesses the connection to the PSTN phone line, and only in the event of a phone line failure will it send all alarm traffic across the Cellular network to the monitoring station. In instances where the control panel does not support Contact ID or SIA (300 baud), the 3G4010CF has inputs pre-set to transmit fire alarm, fire supervisory or system trouble. Alarm signals are transmitted directly without the need of a clearinghouse to the IP linecard of the monitoring station receiver (Sur-Gard® System I-IP/II/11I/IV/5). Activating & Initializing the Unit Activating and initializing the 3G401 0CF can be done using the automated telephone activation system (VRU), mobile interface or web-user interface provided by C24 Communications. No special tools are required. Mobile Site for Easy Installation and Comprehensive Maintenance C24 Communications mobile site (m.connect24.com) makes the installation a simple process and offers intuitive trouble-shooting features, cutting down on time and cost allocated to maintenance. UL Listing The 3G401 0CF is UL listed under File S4019, Listing guide UOXX, as a sole or backup communicator for Commercial Fire monitoring installations. When used as a sole communicator under NFPA72 2010 guidelines the 3G401 0CF will send its heartbeat once every 97 seconds ensuring that three heartbeats will be received at the supervising station within the 300 second window. When used as a sole communicator under NFPA72 2013 guidelines the 3G401 0CF will send its heartbeat once every 5 minutes to monitor connectivity with the supervising station within the 1 hour window. When used as a backup communicator the 3G401 0CF will monitor the other communication method (DACT) and send a daily test transmission to the supervising station. CSFM Listing The 3G401 0CF has been approved by the California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) pursuant to Section 13144.1 of the California Health and Safety Code. Our 5104B Fire Control Communicator has become the industry standard by proving itself in years of field-tested operation. This six-zone fire control communicator provides fast, reliable digital communication of fire and trouble conditions. It transmits via ordinary phone lines -eliminating the need for expensive leased line arrangements. Use it as a stand-alone, or incorporate it into your existing system. Why spec any other digital communicator? Go with the industry standard -the 5104B Fire Control Communicator from Silent Knight. For more information, please call 1-800-328-0103. Model 5104B Fire Control Communicator The Silent Knight Model 5104B is a six-zone fire control communicator providing digital fire reporting over ordinary telephone lines, eliminating the need for costly leased lines. It's UL 864 and NFPA 72 approved for monitoring local evacuation controls. As a stand-alone unit, it can be used to monitor: • Sprinkler systems for waterflow, supervisory, and gate valve tamper conditions. • Automatic fire detection systems for structures that are not required to have a fire alarm system but want property protection (e.g. to call the fire department after hours). • Monitors dry contact alarms, trouble and supervisory outputs, then transmits a separate code for each. The Model 5104B is fully supervised. Its microprocessor constantly runs programs to monitor AC, standby battery, zone inputs and telephone line connections. If a fault condition is detected, it sounds a local trouble audible and reports the condition to the central station. If one of the telephone lines faults for more than 60 seconds, it will automatically switch to the other to report the failure. The communicator will signal activation, restoration and trouble conditions on any of six inputs. If an application requires a different input configuration, the individual input styles may be changed by using a Model 7181 Fire Zone Converter Module. The 7181 also allows use of two-wire type smoke detectors, instead of the normal four-wire contact type, for automatic fire detection applications. Features • UL 864 Listed as an NFPA 72 Central Station or Remote Station protected premise unit. • FM approved. • Can be used as a stand-alone or as a add-on DACT. • Six fully supervised inputs: one Class A (Style D) input, and five Class B (Style A) inputs. • Downloadable for remote programming. • Fuseless overload protection with automatic reset circuitry and fault indicators -eliminates the cause of most field calls. • Dual phone line interface Automatic self tests every 24 hours with report sent to central station. • Reports in SIA and most major communications formats. • 60 hours of standby power. • Operates on loop start phone lines ahead of the building PBX system. • A single, programmable output is provided for alarm or dialer failed conditions (cannot be used for evacuation purposes). ~ ~ · FIRE ALARM ACCESSORY , ', i ~- 5104B Fire Control Communicator Specifications Electrical Add-on Applications -UL Listed Mechanical: Dimensions: 12.25" W x 14.5" H x 3.0" 0 (31.1cm W x 36.8 cm H x 7.6cm D) Input: 120 VAC 60 Hz 40 watts Weight: 15 lbs. Features • Plug-in detector line, mounting base included • Large wire entry port • In-line terminals with SEMS screws • Mounts to octagonal and single-gang back boxes, 4-square back boxes, or direct to ceiling • Stop-Drop 'N Lock attachment to base • Removable detector cover and chamber • Built-in remote maintenance signaling • Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms • Simplified sensitivity measurement • Wide-angle, dual-color LED indication • Loop testing via EZ Walk feature • Built-in test switch Agency Listings @<e>fl LISTED APPROVED ~ MEA MSFM approved approved 5911 3011446 7272-1653:152 290-01-E 2093 3180932 Installation ease. The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. This allows an installer to pre-wire bases (included with heads). The large wire entry port and in-line terminals provide ample room for neatly routing the wiring inside the base. The base accommodates a variety of back box mounting methods as well as direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation, i3 heads plug into the base with a simple Stop-Drop 'N Lock™ action. Intelligence. i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features to simplify testing and maintenance. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the i3 line to minimize nuisance alarms. 2-wire i3 detectors can generate a remote LED- indicated maintenance signal when connected to the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel equipped with the i3 protocol. The SENS-RDR, a wireless device, displays the sensitivityof i3 detectors in terms of percent-per-foot obscuration. Instant inspection. The i3 series provides wide-angle red and green LED indicators for instant inspection of the detector's condition: normal standby, out-of-sensitivity, alarm, or freeze trouble. When connected to the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel with the i3 protocol, the EZ Walk loop test feature is available on 2-wire i3 detectors. This feature verifies the in itiating loop wiring by providing LED status indication at each detector. (fY.
