These sprinklers have demonstrated response times in laboratory tests which are five times faster than standard response sprinklers. This quick response enables the Models GFR and GFR Re cessed Sprin klers to ap ply wa ter to a fire much faster than standard response sprinklers of the same temperaturerating. Any other type of wrench may cause sprin kier dam age. Maintenance The Models GFR and GFRRe cessed Sprinklers should be inspected quartet1y and the sprin kier system maintained in accordance with NFPA 25. Do not clean the sprinklers with soap and water, am mo nia or any other deaning flu ids. Re move any dust using a soft brush or gen tie vac u Lm ing. Re move any sprin kier which has been painted {other than factory applied) or dam aged in any way. A stock of spare sprinklers should be maintained to alow quick re place- ment of dam aged or operated sprinklers. Prior to in stal la- tion, sprinklers should be main ta1ned in the original cartons and packaging un tl1 used. This minimizes the potential for damageresultanginimproperoperationornon-operation.
