Per the request of Mr. Andy Champion with Kirk Moeller Architects, Inc., and as
required by the City of Carlsbad reviewer, we have reviewed the architectural building
plan sheets (A0.1 through A0.3, Al.1, A2.1A through A2.5A, A2.1B through A2.5B,
A3.1A through A3.3A, A3.1B through A3.3B, A3.1C through A3.3C, A3.1D through
A3.3D, A4.1, A5.1, A6.1, and AD1 through AD7) prepared by Kirk Moeller Architects,
Inc. dated September 24, 2021; structural plan sheets (SGN, 5-1 through 5-6, FD1,
SD1, and SD2) prepared by ESI/FME, Inc. plan check dated November 19, 2021; and
undated civil grading plan sheets (1 through 6) prepared by Pasco Laret Suiter. The
plans were reviewed from a geotechnical engineering point of view.
After our review, we found the plans to be in conformance with the recommendations
presented in our Report of Preliminary Geotechnical Investigation and Report of
Limited Geotechnical Investigation for Proposed Storm Water Infiltration BMPs, both
dated September 14, 2020; our Recommendation for Foundations Close to Water
Infiltration BMP Ponds dated February 8, 2021; and our Clarification of
Recommendations for Foundations Close to Water Infiltration BMP Ponds dated
August 26, 2021. A copy of our reports and this letter should be provided to all
pertinent contractors involved with the soil preparation and foundation construction.
Any grading and geotechnical related aspects should be performed per the approved
plans and per our soil report.
