Recommended Action
Select a Historic Preservation Commissioner to serve as a liaison to the Carlsbad Historical
Society.
Executive Summary/Discussion
The work of the City of Carlsbad’s Historic Preservation Commission includes preserving and
sharing the history of the Carlsbad area. This is also a role of the local non-profit organization,
the Carlsbad Historical Society. The commission has traditionally designated at least one
commissioner to serve in the role of liaison to the Society. This liaison role would be to share
items of interest and future events sponsored by the Carlsbad Historical Society with the rest of
the commission.
