SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION WORKSHOP TOPICS -Commission discussion of the topics to
be included on a Planning Commission Workshop agenda and provide direction to staff.
The City Planner has determined that the action does not constitute a project within the
meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act under California Public Resources
Code Section 21065.
I. RECOMMENDATION
The Planning Commission should discuss the topics that they would like included on the agenda for a
Planning Commission Workshop and provide direction to staff.
II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION ANO BACKGROUND
At the Planning Commission meeting held on April 61 2022, the Commission considered the proposed work
plan for fiscal year 2022-2023. The work plan includes holding a Planning Commission Workshop and
stated topics could include the role of the Planning Commission, City Council plans and direction, and
areas for additional training. As part of the Commission's consideration of the work plan there was
discussion regarding topics that could be discussed at a workshop. The purpose of this agenda item is for
Commissioners to propose topics for the workshop agenda. The Commission should provide direction to
staff regarding the agenda items for the workshop.
Ill. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The City Planner has determined that the action does not constitute a project within the meaning of the
California Environmental Quality Act under California Public Resources Code Section 21065 in that it has
no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment or a reasonably foreseeable
indirect physical change in the environment. Therefore, it does not require environmental review.
