Motion by Board Member Rauch, seconded by Board Member Canepa, to approve the minutes
as presented. Motion carried unanimously, 4/0.
REPORTS AND DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. GOVERNANCE UPDATE
Recommendation: Receive a report regarding a potential alternate governance structure
including a proposed Management District Plan for the Carlsbad Tourism Business
Improvement District, which could include a special zone for golf lodging businesses, discuss
and provide recommendations. Should the Advisory Board recommend pursuing the
establishment of an alternate governance structure: Adopt a resolution approving the
proposed Management District Plan.
Motion by Board Member Rauch, seconded by Board Member Canepa, to adopt a resolution
approving a management district plan to be used in the establishment of a new tourism
business improvement district operating under the property and business improvement
district law of 1994 that includes a special zone for golf lodging businesses. Motion carried
unanimously, 4/0.
2. CGLBID ADVISORY BOARD MEETING CALENDAR
Recommendation: Adopt a resolution approving the CGLBID Advisory Board Meeting
Calendar for FY 2022 -2023.
Motion by Board Member Canepa, seconded by Board Member Stull, to adopt a resolution
approving the Advisory Board Meeting Calendar for fiscal year 2022-23. Motion carried
unanimously, 4/0.
