WATER CONSERVATION FEATURES The proposed plantings were selected for water efficiency per specific hydro-zone/micro-climate areas within the project as well as their relative ease of maintenance, durability and aesthetic quality for this multi-unit residential project. No turf grass is proposed for this project and the trees were utilized to provide a more human scale to the buildings vertical fa9ade as well as provide · shade for the property open spaces. Organic groundcover mulch will be installed throughout the planting areas to assist in soil moisture retention, minimize weed growth and provide new plant material with nutrients as the groundcover mulch decomposes. There will be a soils analysis performed and implemented during the installation of the plant materials to allow for optimum growing and establishment conditions. An automatic drip irrigation system will also be installed per hydro-zone areas along with an irrigation controller and rain-sensor devise. This project will be maintained by the private property owner and shall be maintained in a healthy growing condition.
