A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE PARKS & RECREATION
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Commissioner Brad Thorp was appointed to the Parks & Recreation Commission in
August 2017, to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Jason Hansen for a term ending in August
2019;and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Thorp was reappointed in October 2019; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Thorp is not eligible for reappointment; and
WHEREAS, a scheduled vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Commission exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad resident is appointed to serve on the Parks & Recreation
Commission, for a term ending in December 2026, to coincide with the t erm of the
nominating City Council Member from District 3, or until a replacement is appointed.

Carlsbad on the 10th day of January. 2023, by the following vote, to wit:
