A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Commissioner Peter Merz was appointed to the Planning Commission in September
2018, to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Neil Black for a term ending in April 2020; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Merz was reappointed in March 2020, for a term ending in December
2022;and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Merz is eligible for reappointment; and
WHEREAS, a scheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The following Carlsbad resident is appointed to serve on the Planning Commission, for
a term ending in December 2026, to coincide with the term of the Mayor, or until a
replacement is appointed.

Carlsbad on the 10th day of January, 2023, by the following vote, to wit:
