A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF THE TWO CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVES AS THE OTHER'S PROXY SHOULD ONE MEMBER
BE ABSENT WHILE REPRESENTING THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT AT A SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY MEETING
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District (CMWD) appoints two San Diego County
Water Authority (SDCWA) Board members to represent the district; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate representatives as the member's proxy for voting should
one member be absent at a SDCWA Board meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That the designation of a duly appointed representative of CMWD attending the SDCWA
Board meeting to vote in proxy on behalf of an absent CMWD representative is
approved.
3.All previous proxy designations by the CMWD are rescinded.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Joint Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of Carlsbad, California and the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California on the 15th day of February, 2023, by the following vote, to wit:
