A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO THE NORTH COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, California Public Utilities Code Sections 125050(b) and 125051 authorize the City
Council to appoint a primary representative and an alternate representative to the North County
Transit District (NCTD) Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, NCTD requests that the appointments be made no later than the first regular City
Council meeting in 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That the following Carlsbad City Council Members are appointed as Primary and
Alternate Members to the North County Transit District Board of Directors, for a term
ending in December 2023 or until replacements are appointed:
Primary Member: Mayor Pro Tern Bhat-Patel
Alternate Member: Council Member Luna
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Joint Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, and the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of Carlsbad, California, on
the 15th day of February, 2023, by the following vote, to wit:
