A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLS BAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING MEM BERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO THE SAN
DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, California Public Utilities Code Section 132351.l(d)&(f) require that the City Council
appoint a primary representative and alternates to the San Diego Association of Governments
(SANDAG) Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, SAN DAG requests that the appointments be made no later than the first regular City
Council meeting in 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That the following Carlsbad City Council Members are appointed to the San Diego
Association of Government Board of Directors, for a term ending in December 2023 or
until replacements are appointed:

First Alternate Member: Mayor Pro Tern Bhat-Patel

PASSED, APPRO_VED AND ADOPTED at a Joint Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, and the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of Carlsbad, California, on
the 15th day of February, 2023, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Blackburn, Bhat-Patel (on Alternate Members), Acosta (on Alternate Members),
NAYS:
A BSTAIN:
A BSENT:
Burkholder, Luna.
Bhat-Patel (on Primary Member), Acosta (on Primary Member).
