This compact, intelligent addressable control panel supports up to 50 addressable devices of any type of detectors and modules. With an exten- sive list of powerful features, the MS-9050UD programs just like Fire•Lite's larger products, yet fits into applications previously served only by conventional panels. The MS-9050UD's integral DACT transmits system status (alarms, troubles, AC loss, etc.) to a Central Station via the pub- lic switched telephone network. It also allows remote and local programming of the control panel using the PK-CD Upload/ Download utility. In addition, the control panel may be pro- grammed or interrogated off-site via the public switched tele- phone network. Any personal computer with Windows1M 95 or greater, and compatible modem with a speed of 14.4 kbps or faster and Fire•Lite Upload/Download software kit PK-CD, may serve as a Service Terminal. This allows download of the entire program or upload of the entire program, history file, walk-test data, current status and system voltages. The power supply and all electronics are contained on a single circuit board supported on a new quick install chassis and housed in a metal cabinet. Available accessories include local and remote upload/download software, remote annunciators, and reverse polarity/city box transmitter. (4XTMF) New options include a UL listed printer, PRN-6F and the new IPDACT Internet Monitoring module. The FireWatch Series inter- net monitoring modules IPDACT-2 and IPDACT-2UD permit monitoring of alarm signals over the Internet, saving the monthly cost of two telephone lines. Although not required, the second- ary telephone line may be retained providing backup communi- cation over the public switched telephone line. NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, the term MS-9050U0 is used in this data sheet to refer to both the MS-9050U0 and the MS- 9050UDE FACPs. For MS-9050UDC, refer to DF-60445. " \ SD355 EXISTING SHOWN FOR REFERENCE ONLY** I**5D355R NEW** 15D355(A) Series Addressable Photoelectric Smoke Detectors General The SD355(A), S03551(A), and SD355R(A) addressable, low- profile plug-in photoelectric detectors use a state-of-the-art pho- toelectric sensing chamber with communications to provide open area protection and are used exclusively with Fire•Lite's Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP5). The SD355T(A) adds thermal sensors that will alarm at a fixed tem- perature of 135°F (570C). Since these detectors are address- able, they will help emergency personnel quickly locate a fire during its early stages, potentially saving precious rescue time while also reducing property damage. Two LEDs on each sen- sor light to provide a local, visible sensor indication. Remote LED annunciator capability is available as an optional acces- sory, PN RA100Z(A). The SD355R(A) is a remote test capable detector for use with D355PL(A) or DNR(A)/DNRW duct smoke detector housings. Features SLC loop Two-wire loop connection. Unit uses base for wiring. Addressing Addressable by device. Rotary, decimal addressing: 01 - 99 with MS-9200 series, and 01 - 159 with MS-9600 series. Architecture Unique single-source, dual-chamber design to respond quickly and dependably to a broad range of fires. Sleek, low-profile design. Integral communications and built-in type identification. Built-in tamper-resistant feature. Removable cover and insect-resistant screen for simple field cleaning. Operation Withstands air velocities up to 4,000 feet-per-minute (20 m/ sec.) without triggering a false alarm. Factory preset at 1.5% nominal sensitivity for panel alarm threshold level. Visible LED "blinks" when the unit is addressed (communicat- ing with the fire panel) and latches on in alarm. Mechanicals Sealed against back pressure. Direct surface mounting or electrical box mounting. Other system features Fully coated circuit boards and superior RF/transient protec- tion. 94-VO plastic flammability rating. Low standby current. Options Remote LED output connection, PN RA100Z(A). DF-52384:C • E-160 (a Fire LiT°ALS by Honeywell : / ( S0355(A) in B2IOLP(A) Base Applications Use photoelectric detectors in life-safety applications to provide a broad range of fire-sensing capability, especially where smol- dering fires are anticipated. Ionization detectors are often better than photoelectric detectors at sensing fast, flaming fires. Construction These detectors are constructed of off-white fire resistant plas- tic. SD355(A) series plug-in, low-profile smoke detectors are designed to commercial standards and offer an attractive appearance. Installation SD355(A) series plug-in detectors use a detachable mounting base to simplify installation, service and maintenance. Mount base (all base types) on an electrical backbox which is at least 1.5' (3.81 cm) deep. For a chart of compatible junction boxes, see DF-60059. NOTE: Because of the inherent supervision provided by the SLC loop, end-of-line resistors are not required. Wiring "T-taps" or branches are permitted for Style 4 (Class B) wiring. 50355R(A) mounts in a 0355PL(A) or DNA (A)/DNR W duct detector housing. Operation Each 5D355(A) series detector uses one of 99 possible addresses on the MS-9200 series and up to 318 (159 on each loop) on the MS-9600 series Signaling Line Circuit (SLC). It responds to regular polls from the system and reports its type and status. The addressable photoelectric sensor in the 5D355(A) series has a unique unipolar chamberthat responds quickly and uni- formly to a broad range of smoke conditions. It can withstand wind gusts up to 4,000 feet-per-minute (20 m/sec.) without sending an alarm level signal. Because of its unipolar chamber, the 5D355(A) series is approximately two times more respon- sive than most photoelectric sensors. This makes it a more sta- ble detector. DF-52384:C • 12/07/2011 - Page 1 of 2 etector Sensitivity Test Each detector can have its sensitivity tested (required per NFPA 72, Chapter 14 on Inspection, Testing and Maintenance) when installed/connected to a MS-9200 series or MS-9600 series addressable fire alarm control panel. Fire Engineering Division I**EXISTING SHOWN FOR REFERENCE ONLY** MMF.300(A) Series, MDF.300 DF-52121:E E-325 Addressable Monitor Modules by Honeywell General Four different monitor modules are available for Fire-Lite's intelligent control panels to suit a variety of applications. Moni- tor modules are used to supervise a circuit of dry-contact input devices, such as conventional heat detectors and pull stations, or monitor and power a circuit of two-wire smoke detectors (MMF-302(A)). MMF-300(A) is a standard-sized module (typically mounts to a 4' [10.16 cm] square box) that supervises either a Style D (Class A) or Style B (Class B) circuit of dry-contact input devices. MMF-301(A) is a miniature monitor module a mere 1.3" (3.302 cm) H x 2.75" (6.985 cm) W x 0.65" (1.651 cm) D that super- vises a Style B (Class B) circuit of dry-contact input devices. Its compact design allows the MMF-301(A) to be mounted in a single-gang box behind the device it monitors. MMF-302(A) is a standard-sized module used to monitor and supervise compatible two-wire, 24 volt, smoke detectors on a Style D (Class A) or Style B (Class B) circuit. MDF-300(A) is a standard-sized dual monitor module used to monitor and supervise two independent two-wire Style B (Class B) dry-contact initiating device circuits (lDCs) at two separate, consecutive addresses in intelligent, two-wire sys- tems. LiteSpeedtM is a communication protocol developed by Fire-Lite Engineering that greatly increases the speed of com- munication between analog intelligent devices. Intelligent devices communicate in a grouped fashion. If one of the devices within the group has new information, the panel CPU stops the group poll and concentrates on single points. Features Photoelectric, integrated low-flow technology (detector head sold separately) Air velocity rating from 100 ft/min to 4,000 ft/mm Adjusts to square and rectangular mounting configurations Broad ranges for operating temperature (-4°F to 158°F) and humidity (0% to 95% non-condensing) Patented tool-free, plug-in sampling tubes New cover tamper signal Increased wiring space with a new 1/4-inch conduit knockout Housing has space for mounting a relay module Easily accessible code wheels on sensor head (sold separately) Clear cover for convenient visual inspection UL 268A listed Remote testing capability Requires com line power only NEMA Type 4 UL listed for non-hazardous ndoor and outdoor applications (DNRW only) UV-resistant, UL-listed housing and cover material (DNRW only) The InnovairFIex line is compatible with all previous Innovair models, including remote test accessories, for easy retrofits. The InnovairFIex Series DNR and DNRW are intelligent (addressable) non-relay photoelectric duct smoke detectors. Like all InnovairFIex detectors, the DNR and DNRW both feature an adjustable housing design that fits square and rectangular installation footprints, mounts to both round and rectangular ductwork, and utilizes tool-free, plug-in sampling tubes for increased application flexibility and installation ease. These units sense smoke in challenging conditions, operating in airflow speeds of 100 to 4,000 feet per minute, temperatures of —4°F to 158°F, and a humidity range of 0 to 95 percent (non-condensing). For even more extreme environments like rooftops, the DNRW's NEMA 4-rated watertight and UV-resistant housing protects against windblown dirt and dust, rain, and hose directed water, enabling it to be installed without a costly enclosure, saving time and money. The InnovairFIex housing cover isolates the sensor head from the low-flow feature for simple maintenance, and a cover tamper feature initiates a trouble signal for a removed or improperly installed sensor cover, The housing also provides a 1/4-inch conduit knockout and ample space to facilitate easy wiring and mounting of a relay module to meet specific application requirements. These detectors can be customized to meet local codes and specifications without additional wiring. This unit senses smoke in the most challenging conditions, operating in airflow speeds of 100 to 4,000 feet per minute, temperatures of —4°F to 158°F, and a humidity range of 0 to 95 percent (non- condensing). A plug-in sensor head offers improved false alarm immunity and simple installation, testing, and maintenance. An improved cover design isolates the sensor head from the low-flow feature for simple maintenance. The InnovairFiex housing provides ample wiring space, a 3/4-inch conduit knockout, and built-in short circuit protection to prevent damage to sensitive components during installation. High contrast terminal designations make wiring easy. With its 2:1 sensor-to-power capability, the power board of the D4120 may be used to monitor a second sensor, D4S, simultaneously (i.e., supply and return side). As many as 50 lnnovairFlex detectors can be interconnected. When one unit senses smoke, all interconnected detectors will switch their relays; only the detector sensing smoke will go into alarm, thus pinpointing the fire source. An easy-access Test/Reset button makes it possible to test the unit with the cover on. Three DIP switches can be used to configure field selectable settings: cover tamper delay, number of sensors to be controlled, and shut down on trouble option. Each power board has two LEDs that can be used to indicate the status of connected sensors, and a quick reference imprinted on the cover explains the LED status indications (Standby, Maintenance, Trouble, and Alarm). The InnovairFIex duct smoke detector can be customized to meet local codes and specifications without additional wiring. The new InnovairFIex product line is compatible with all previous Innovair models, including remote test accessories.
