Each year the Planning Commission elects a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson to serve for a term of one
year. The Commission elected a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson at the December 20, 2017 meeting.
Commissioner Rodman resigned from the Planning Commission on March 22, 2018. At the time of her
resignation Commissioner Rodman was the Vice-Chairperson. The commission will elect a Vice-
Chairperson for the remainder of 2018 at the regular meeting of April 18, 2018. Planning Commission
Resolution No. 6100 contains the Planning Commission's adopted procedures. Section I titled Officers
contains the following procedure:
A. Terms, How Elected: The Planning Commission shall elect from among its appointed members a
Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson to serve for a term of one year. Elections shall be held at a
regular meeting at the end of the calendar year, and the elected Chair and Vice Chair shall assume
their respective offices at the January meeting. A Commissioner must serve one year before being
elected Chair.
Listed below is an outline for conducting the agenda item for the election of officer:
