Precise Grading Plans for Carlsbad Oaks North Lot 8 (Whiptail Loop East)
CityofCarlsbadDrawingNo. 497-9A, Project No. SDP 16-10
To Whom it May Concern:
Excel Engineering performed several field surveys relating to the thirteen installed
bioretention basins on the above-referenced project. The field surveys consisted of the
following:
Basin bottom excavation (August 25, September 20 and 28, 2017)
Top of rock placement (September 28 and October 7, 2017)
Finish surface and pipe works (October 5 and 21, 2017)
Final Basin installation with landscape complete (January 19, 2018)
In all cases, the bioretention basins' grades were found to be constructed in substantial
conformance with the approved grading plans for the City of Carlsbad. This letter is to
certify that the Best Management Practices (BMPs) as designed and detailed in the Storm
Water Quality Management Plan (SWQMP) have been installed as shown on the BMP
Site Plan and the Precise Grading Plans for the above-referenced project. Additionally, a
Maintenance Agreement is in place and all further operations and maintenance of the
BMP facilities will be completed as stated in that recorded document.
