General Notes 1. Park shall remain open to tie public during the project. Contractor shall take all nescessary precautions to secure the work site, all materials and equipment and shall exercise safety measures to tie greatest extent possible to protect the public from harm during all construction, mobili,ation and construction operations associated with the project. 2. Parks maintenance staff wil remove site amentities such as metal storage box, picnic tables, bike racks, trash rece~tacles, trees and existing tree grates, located in the location of the pre-fab restroom or in close proximity of the work site. All costs to the Contractor for protecting, removing, and restoring existing improvements shall be included in the Bid. 3. Before digging, contractor shall contact Dig Alert to locate all underground utilities and shall also coordinate with Parts Maintenance staff re: underground irrigation system effected by the project construction operations. 4. Contractor shall notify City f unidentified utilities or improvements are found during construction operations for wtich no specific dispositon is made on the plans, but which interfere with the completion d the work to determine whether items shall be relocated, removed or abandoned in place. 5. Contractor shall verify Finis, Floor Elevation (FFE) prior to excavation for the building pad. Concrete pavement elevation is 60. 75± in the location at the north entrance for the prefabricated restroom. 6. All other work -Contractor s,all provide all other work shown on the Drawings or Specifications or as needed to be done to complete the project but not itemized in items 1-12 below. 7. Park site amenities including lights, tree grates, drinking fountain, picnic benches, trees, lawns, and shrubbery that are not to be removed shall be protected in place from damage or injury. If damaged or remo,ed due to Contractor's operations, they shall be restored or replaced in the original condilion and location as is reasonably possible. Lawns shall be reseeded or re-sodded, dep01ding on extent of damage and covered with suitable mulch. WORK TO BE DONE BUILDING PAD PREPARATION ( Prior to RFL representaives arriving on site) G) Contractor to provide temporary corstruction fencing to protect the jobsite during all operations associated with the project and remove after competion of the project. © Contractor to remove, store and repace bollards at end of job as well as provide steel plating at parking lot curbs and over all existing concrete or awn areas used as path of travel by equipment, heavy trucks and crane work associated with the project. @Sawcut, remove and dispose of exis•ing concrete as shown on plans to accommodate the buiding pad preparation and utility modifications. U!e existing cold joints and other concrete jointing to the greatest extent possible for concrete removal. ~Excavate 10n below the restroom finsh floor elevation. Building pad must be level. @Utility Work-Provide modifications a1d relocations of existing electrical, sanitary sewer, and water lines to within 6'± of proposed restroom buildin1 location, including relocation of 4" SDR 35 PVC sanitary sewer line @2% and sewer clean out per C.O.C ITO. Dwg. S-6 with 6" WYE. Prefabricated restroom utililties plan is provided for reference on Sheet 2 and >ark "As Built" plans are provided on. Relocation of rainbird 44 LCR Quick COJpler and 1.5" ball valve, concrete box shall be coordinated with City Parks Maintenance staff (Contact 24 his. in advance). Contractor shall provide electrical power from nearest junction box to the Christy box provided by RFL. Contractor shall verify amperage needed for the prefabricated restroom, prior to proceeding with electrical work. Sawcut, remove and dispose of concre:e as needed to provide the utilities and connections. @Supply 8 cubic yards of clean sand f~r final pad leveling for the building pad. Contractor may store on site in location approved by Project Manager. ® Coordinate wtih Parks Maintenancestaff 3 days prior to delivery of pre-fabricated restroom, to have irrigation shut off to allow the surroundilg soils to dry and bear the weight of the truck and crane . WORK TO BE PERFORMED IN COORDINATION AND WITH RFL ON-SITE INSTALLERS @ Prior to RFL Representatives arrivirg on site, Contractor shall remove light standard and fixture and store for re-installation ( by Contractor) after ·estroom bldg. has been set in place. @ Contractor shall schedule and prosde backhoe for utility trenching on the day that RFL rep's. arrive on the site and contractor shall provide utility tenching for the restoom facility under the direction of the RFL rep's. A plan indicating the utility locations beneath the building has been provided for refernece on Sheet 2. @ RFL representatives will direct the Excavation for the utility trenches to be located under the new restroom facility. RFL crew will set the undergromd utilities beneath the prefabricated bldg. as well as Christy boxes to within 6' (±)of the building, at the north ;ide of the pre-fabricated restroom. Contractor will provide all utilities and cinnections from park site existing utilities to the Christy boxes provided by RFL. See also item 6 above. City wll Inspect the utilities prior to backfilling the utility trenches and Contractor shall backfill the utility trencles after inspected. @ Contractor work shall provide and i1stall the leveling sand for the final pad leveling, under direction of RFL representatives (see item 7 above).
