This pressure is in addition to the static design wall load. The allowable passive pressure and bearing capacity can be increased by 1/3 in determining the stability of the wall. A factor-of-safety of 1.2 can be used in determining the stability of the retaining wall under seismic conditions. All other recommendations presented in the above-mentioned report are still applicable, and should be followed. RespectfullyXSUIDM~1 ,6d. ALLIED C 1, : ROBERT P.E. ExP - CF
