The USDA Soil Survey Map locates the site within the Marina loamy coarse sand, 2 to 9 percent slopes (MIC). M1C is classified as Hydrologic Soil Group "B" with no hydric soil rating. Further, the materials encountered during the course of the geotechnical investigation are consistent with HSG A or B soils consisting of silty to slightly silty, fine to medium sand (SM). Although no infiltration testing was conducted it is assumed full infiltration is feasible for a permeable pavement system, based on the textural soil characteristics and soil inap. Attached is a typcal detail for Permeable Pavement with Full Exjiltration toSoil Sub grade, provided by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. This drawing may be used as a guideline for designing the pavement system. Compaction of the pavement subgrade should be held to a minimum.
