Page 2 Review Comments Goddard School, 4625 Red Bluff Place, Carlsbad, CA None of the hydraulic reference points on sheet FP-02 were printed on the final copy sent to us. The designers did send a copy with the reference points visible, and we reviewed the calculations on that basis. Unless the hangers for branch lines are less than 6" long, lateral restraint for branch lines is required in accordance with the spacing indicated in Table 9.3.6.4(a). This can be field verified. The coupling at the base of the riser inside the building should be a flexible grooved coupling, and this has been redlined on the plans. Field verify that A&D Fire Sprinklers is not installing any portion of the underground system, as indicated on the first sheet. The sheet suggests a "point of connection" to the existing underground near the backflow prevention valve, which would require further information on the installation of this portion of the underground supply. If this portion of the work is also "by others", no revision is required.
