REQUESTED ACTION: Consider adoption of a Traffic Safety Commission Resolution of
Commendation for Steve Dorsey
BACKGROUND:
On June 6, 2005, Commissioner Steve Dorsey was elected as Chairperson of the
Traffic Safety Commission. Mr. Dorsey served in that capacity until August 7, 2006.
DATA:
Standard procedure for the Traffic Safety Commission has been to rotate the Chairperson
position on a yearly basis. It has also been the custom of the Traffic Safety Commission
to honor the past Chairperson of the Commission. The attached Resolution of
Commendation for Steve Dorsey is provided for Commission consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Action to be taken as determined by the Traffic Safety Commission.
NECESSARY CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
No City Council action required.

TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION OF
Steve Dorsey
WHEREAS, Steve Dorsey was elected as Chairperson to the
Traffic Safety Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California on
June 6, 2005 and served as the Chairperson from August 1, 2005
through August 7, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Commission of the City of
Carlsbad wishes to commend Steve Dorsey for his earnest and
faithful direction and participation in traffic and pedestrian safety and
transportation planning matters brought before the Traffic Safety
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Traffic
Safety Commission of the City of Carlsbad does hereby extend its
grateful appreciation to Steve Dorsey for having diligently served the
citizens of Carlsbad as Chairperson of the Traffic Safety
Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular
meeting of the Traffic Safety Commission held on the 2nd day of
October, 2006 by the following vote to wit:
