REQUESTED ACTION: Consider adoption of a Traffic Safety Commission Resolution of
Commendation for Susan Gardner
BACKGROUND:
DATA:
Commissioner Susan Gardner was appointed to the Traffic Safety Commission by the
City Council on November 4, 2003. She served on the Commission from December 2003
through February 2008. Ms. Gardner's term of service on the Traffic Safety Commission
is ending due to her resignation.
In the past, the Traffic Safety Commission has honored each Commissioner that has
completed his/her appointment on the Commission with a Resolution of Commendation.
The attached commendation, if adopted, would honor Ms. Gardner for serving more than
four years on the Traffic Safety Commission and is provided for Commission
consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Action to be taken as determined by the Traffic Safety Commission.
NECESSARY CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
No action required.

TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION OF
SUSAN GARDNER
WHEREAS, Susan Gardner was appointed to the Traffic Safety
Commission on November 4, 2003 by the City of Carlsbad City Council;
and
WHEREAS, Susan Gardner has served on the Traffic Safety
Commission from December 2003 through February 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Commission of the City of Carlsbad
wishes to commend Susan Gardner .for her earnest and faithful direction
and participation in traffic and pedestrian safety and transportation
planning matters brought before the Traffic Safety Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Traffic Safety
Commission of the City of Carlsbad does hereby extend its grateful
appreciation to Susan Gardner for having diligently served the people of
Carlsbad for more than four years.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Traffic Safety Commission held on the __ day of _____ _
