REQUESTED ACTION: Consider adoption of a Traffic Safety Commission Resolution of
Commendation for Guy Roney
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2007, Commissioner Guy Roney was elected as Chairperson of the
Traffic Safety Commission. Mr. Roney served in that capacity from August 2007 to July
2008.
DATA:
Standard procedure for the Traffic Safety Commission has been to rotate the Chairperson
position on a yearly basis. It has also been the custom of the Traffic Safety Commission
to honor the past Chairperson of the Commission with a Resolution of Commendation.
The attached Resolution of Commendation for Guy Roney is provided for Commission
consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Action to be taken as determined by the Traffic Safety Commission.
NECESSARY CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
No City Council action required.

TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION OF
Guy Roney
WHEREAS, Guy Roney was elected as Chairperson to the
Traffic Safety Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California on June
4, 2007 and served as the Chairperson from August 6, 2007 through
July 7, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Commission of the City of
Carlsbad wishes to commend Guy Roney for his leadership as
Chairperson and his earnest and faithful direction and participation in
traffic and pedestrian safety and transportation planning matters that
were brought before the Traffic Safety Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Traffic Safety
Commission of the City of Carlsbad does hereby acknowledge and
extend its grateful appreciation to Guy Roney for having diligently
served the citizens of Carlsbad as Chairperson of the Traffic Safety
Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the Traffic Safety Commission held on the __ day of __ _
