REQUESTED ACTION: Information only.
BACKGROUND:
ITEMNO. 6A
In May 2001 City Council approved the Carlsbad Residential Traffic Management
Program. City Council recently requested staff investigate the use of STOP signs as a
potential traffic calming measure. City Council also requested the program to include
thresholds used to determine which projects would be funded.
DATA:
Traffic Signal Systems Engineer, Doug Bilse, will provide a verbal presentation with an
overview of the current residential traffic management program and issues being
considered as part of a proposed program revision.
RECOMMENDATION:
None at this time. This item will be presented in the future with proposed changes to the
program.
NECESSARY CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
No action required as City Council has previously approved this document. Future approval of
the program revisions will be required.
