REQUESTED ACTION: Receive economic status update from the Finance Director.
BACKGROUND:
As the recession continues, Carlsbad's Finance Department has taken a number of steps
to address issues such as reduced revenues and the need for departments to reduce
expenditures.
DATA:
Lisa Irvine, Finance Director, will present an overview of Carlsbad's economic status and
steps the city is taking to financially manage during these challenging times.
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive and file report.
