Chi'.lirperson Fox called the Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairperson Fox asked if there were any corrections or revisions to the minutes from the meeting
of November 2, 2015.

NEW BUSINESS:
ITEM6A: Tools for Traffic Calming Toolbox-Information Only
Senior Engineer, Craig Williams presented an overview of typical traffic calming measures, as well
as what is being considered for the future in Carlsbad.
REPORT FROM TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Hunter asked for a status update on red curb request for Black Rail Road. Mr. Bilse
said that red curbs have been painted adjacent to the medians at the entrance and exit on Black
Rail Road, a center median line was also painted.
REPORT FROM CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEER
Tamarack Ave west bound at El Camino Real was recently converted to two left turn lanes and one
through lane.
A presentation on Complete Streets and ADA Compliance will be forthcoming at a future meeting
for educational purposes.
Three items for review are: The Village, Barrio and Mobility Master Plans, Terramar Project and
Carlsbad Boulevard and Tamarack Avenue ADA intersection compliance.
No Meeting will be held in January 2016
